Bradley Stucko: Young & Dumb vs. Old & Wise.
Why not Young & Wise?
They say things like “ Enjoy your youth as you will never be younger than you are at this very moment”. Yet in a weird way we dream of old age, and why? Not because we want to be old and decrepitude, or losing are hearing, hair, ect. But because we want to stop trying…
I feel like you need someone to respond to this and tell you what’s really up.
This message is about wisdom, but who is “they” that you got that quote from? I’ll put money down that your first response to that is to go back into your liked posts and see who posted it. But, it’s really from a man named Chad Sugg, who also said things like, “Love the trees until their leaves fall off, then encourage them to try again next year.”
You ask, “Why not young & wise?”
As someone that knows you better than anyone, maybe even yourself, it’s because you have a completely closed mind. You think your shit don’t stank, and you talk down to everybody you meet. You spend more time filling your head with information about cars than you spend with your own girlfriend, which would be fine, if you tried pursuing mechanics at ALL. Instead you sit idly, doing nothing about what seems to be your only passion.
I’m just saying, in order to have even an ounce of wisdom, you need to know what’s going on in the world. Spend some time reading posts about culture, people who actually are wise. Instead of silly little motor heads that talk strictly of “fuel-injected this” and “carburetor that.”
You know, “they” say, Read a book. That’s probably the best way to gain some wisdom.
You wish there was a time to be young, mature, and seeking adventure?
Well, you’re young, that’s for sure, and there’s no time like the present to be the other two things.
Your shit does stink, by the way. You’ve lived in Salida, Colorado for the most crucial years of your life and your view of what’s real, what’s important, what’s “cool” is severely distorted
I’m just saying you need to actually open your eyes, your mind, your heart and soul. Take it personally, absorb it, get something out of this… then spit it back out, having digested what i’m trying to say here.
Grow up before asking the world why WE aren’t wise.
Listen to your own advice, ‘cause you’re on the right track, but you don’t know what you’re really trying to say.
